Los Angeles - Pop star Demi Lovato was a big winner at this year's Teen Choice Awards that took place on August 10 at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Lovato reigned supreme in the "Summer Music Star: Female" category, where she bested nominees Iggy Azalea, Becky G, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
Her collaboration with Cher Lloyd "Really Don't Care" was named "Choice: Summer Song" where it triumphed over Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX's "Fancy," Magic!'s "Rude," Calvin Harris' "Summer" and Jason Derulo and Snoop Dogg's "Wiggle."
Lloyd and Lovato performed "Really Don't Care" live at this year's awards show, which was well-received by the fans, and she was nominated in five additional categories for "Choice: Love Song" for "Somebody To You," where she collaborates with The Vamps, "Choice: Break-Up Song" for "Really Don't Care," "Choice: Smile," "Choice: Twit" and "Choice: Fanatic Fans," the latter of which she dubs as her "Lovatics."
She will be out touring with singer-songwriter Christina Perri as part of "The Demi World Tour," which will be in support of her fourth studio album, Demi, released on Hollywood Records. The tour commences on September 6 at Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
For her fans in New York, Lovato will be performing at the Times Union Center in Albany on September 7, and she will be playing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on October 27.
