Country singer Darius Rucker has released his latest single, "Homegrown Honey," from his forthcoming fourth studio album.
The single, released on Capitol Records Nashville, is available on all digital retailers and it is already impacting radio stations nationwide. He co-wrote it with Charley Kelley from the Grammy-winning group Lady Antebellum, as well as Grammy-winning record producer Nathan Chapman (best known for working with global superstar Taylor Swift).
"Homegrown Honey" is the lead single from his fourth solo album as a country artist, which is slated for release in early 2015.
Rucker noted his excitement for writing this song with Kelley and Chapman, via a press release. "This is the first time I've gotten to write with my buddy Charles Kelley and their [Lady Antebellum's] producer Nathan Chapman and I'm sure glad we did," Rucker exclaimed in a statement.
He is working with producer Frank Rogers, who was responsible for producing his three previous solo country albums. All of Rucker's albums debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, and they have produced six chart-topping singles as "Come Back Song," "This," "Alright," "It Won't Be Like This For Long," "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," as well as "Wagon Wheel," the latter of which garnered him a 2014 Grammy award for "Best Country Solo Performance."
