article imageCole Swindell tops charts with 'Hope You Get Lonely Tonight'

By Markos Papadatos     Oct 2, 2014 in Music
Country star Cole Swindell has a major milestone to celebrate, thanks to his latest single "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight."
It has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, after charting for 30 weeks.
His previous single and breakthough hit "Chillin' It" peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, yet it reached No. 1 on the Mediabase charts. It was certainly a highlight when he performed it live during his set at Madison Square Garden in New York City, when he opened for fellow country mega-star Luke Bryan, as part of his "That's My Kind of Night" tour.
As Digital Journal reported, Swindell had released a nonchalant and fun music video for "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight," which can be seen below:
Swindell is nominated for the 2014 CMA "New Artist of the Year" award, and he is expected to make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Tuesday, October 7, which ought to be yet another exciting milestone for the Georgia native.
Digital Journal would like to congratulate Cole Swindell on this new accomplishment. It couldn't have happened to a more genuine, talented and nicer singer-songwriter and person. Hopefully, there will be many more chart-topping hits to come in the future.
