article imageChris Stapleton wins 3 Country Music Association (CMA) awards

By Markos Papadatos     Nov 7, 2015 in Music
Country singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton has a major reason to celebrate. He won three Country Music Association (CMA) awards this week.
These included wins in such prestigious categories as "New Artist of the Year," as well as "Album of the Year" for Traveller and the coveted "Male Vocalist of the Year" honor. Stapleton co-produced the album with Dave Cobb and it was released via his record label, Mercury Nashville.
One thing is for sure. With Stapleton's CMA wins this year, the CMA awards were able to honor true, hard-working talent, where the music speaks for itself. His songwriting is authentic and from the heart, and that resonated well with his peers in the music industry. Most impressive about Stapleton is that he was able to triumph over his fellow nominees (Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Eric Church and Dierks Bentley), without receiving much radio airplay on the airwaves.
During the award ceremony, Stapleton performed "Drink You Away" live with music mega-star Justin Timberlake.
His Traveller album is available on iTunes by clicking here.
