On September 19, Lane will be performing in Farmingville on Long Island at the Pennysaver Amphitheater, where he will be sharing the stage with such country acts as Eric Paslay, Parmalee and Brothers Osborne. “It is a full-band show and it is going to be a good time for sure. I know all of those guys, so it will definitely be a party,” he said with a sweet laugh.
Lane will be a part of Dustin Lynch’s “Hell of a Night” headlining tour, and on December 11, he will be performing at The Paramount in Huntington on Long Island. “I am so excited about this Dustin Lynch tour for a lot of reasons: him and I are good friends, and he is a great guy, and I am eager to get out on the road and learn from him. Dustin is doing it at a high level,” he said. “I am very grateful that he chose to take me out. It is going to be a great year.”
On the following day, December 12, Lane will be playing at Irving Plaza in New York City with Lynch, where country listeners can catch him performing his single “Broken Windshield View” live.
When asked which artists he would like to perform someday, he listed Taylor Swift and The Backstreet Boys. “I always loved Taylor Swift. She is the best of the best. Taylor is a good role model and she has had a pretty big career,” he said. “If I could perform with The Backstreet Boys, that would be amazing. I have a video of those guys wishing me good luck in my career. It was really cool.”
On his pre-show rituals to prepare for his shows, Lane said, “I have a little Marshall speaker that plays music really loud backstage, and we usually have the whole band back there, and we have a pre-game play-list that I have created, and usually we are sweating before we go onstage, since we are getting hyped. We will do a pre-game prayer, and then we take the stage. We also use it for after the show as well.”
While his fans have always been dedicated to Lane, two crowds that stood out to him in particular, include his fans in Iowa and Boston. “I recently had a show at the state fair in Iowa that was really surprising. There was a lot of people there that knew a lot of the words of my old songs, the ones I wrote in North Carolina, and that was really cool to see,” he said. “The fans in Boston were really cool as well.”
