Huntington - Country singer Alex Hall sat down and chatted with Digital Journal prior to his concert on February 28 at The Paramount in Huntington, New York.
Hall opened for country star Thomas Rhett, and they both put on well-received sets.
He shared that this time marked his first time in New York. "It feels great," he said. "We played in Clifton Park last night and that was honestly my first time, and tonight is my second time."
On his experience touring with Thomas Rhett, he said, "The tour has been great. Thomas' guys are killer. His whole crew is great and so is Thomas. It has been an honor and a pleasure to be out here on the road with him."
Hall revealed that his favorite song is the new tune, "Lovers Lullaby," which is off his forthcoming EP, which will be available this month. "We are playing it tonight and it has a songwriter's vibe to it," he said.
Regarding his future plans, he said, "I have my new EP coming out and I am working on building a fan-base and playing more shows."
Hall listed Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry as his dream female duet choices, as well as John Mayer and Elvis Presley as his greatest musical influences. "John Mayer is my favorite artist that has been out in the last 30 years," he said.
