By Markos Papadatos     Feb 7, 2016 in Music
Country singer Chase Rice has been nominated for a 2016 Academy of Country Music (ACM) award for "New Male Vocalist of the Year."
Rice was already planning to be in Las Vegas as part of the "ACM Party For a Cause Festival," but now he has an even bigger reason to celebrate. He is nominated alongside Brett Eldredge, Chris Janson, Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton. The ACM award ceremony will take place on April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
A North Carolina native, Rice noted that there are a lot of great things happening and that he is looking forward to partying in Las Vegas. Aside for being stoked for his ACM nomination, he is excited to share the new music with his fans later in the week.
His new single "Whisper," which will be released later this month, is already striking a chord with country fans.
Country listeners can check "Whisper" out on iTunes by clicking here.
