Phoenix Stone is a country singer, songwriter and musician, who fronts the Phoenix Stone Band. He opened up about his latest musical endeavors.
His latest single, the ballad "When The Whiskey Doesn't Work," which he was written and produced by Stone and he played most of the instruments. It was released via his independent record label, Bodaway Records. "The song came from a real place and I really got to sing on it. I enjoyed doing it, since at the end of the day, I am definitely a vocalist," he said.
Most recently, he made Digital Journal's Top 10 "Male Country Singers to Watch List in 2014."
Stone revealed that he partnered with a few producers from various hit shows and he will be featured on a reality television show called "Rolling With the Stones," which deals with his life and career (which goes all the way back to his days when he was a founder of the Backstreet Boys, who started that company). "That is really exciting," he admitted.
He is also in the studio, producing a new pop act, Maty Noyes, that just signed with a major record label, whose music is a cross between such songstresses as Lana Del Rey, Lorde and Adele. "I have her in the studio and I am working on her record," he said.
Aside from collaborating with other artists, he shared that he is working on new music for himself and he hopes to have a new single out within the next few months.
Stone enjoyed being a part of this year's CMA Music Festival that was held in early June in Nashville, Tennessee. "It's the one time of the year, where all country fans come to Nashville and they get to see performances. It was really packed, and I had a great time," he said.
Each day, Stone is motivated simply by doing a job that he loves, which includes doing the reality television show, writing songs for himself, as well as producing material for other artists. "Honestly, being able to be creative and do these things that I love makes me feel blessed and thankful," he said.
