Regarding his new single, "
With You," he said, "Jack Wilby is a great songwriter from the U.K. His voice is so incredible. The chord progressions are very interesting and good."
This song was done on his own label, Delecta Records, in partnership with Armada Music. "Armada is our partner and distributor of our label. Armada does a lot of things for us. They are incredible. They are so nice and so on top of it. It was great," Gervais said.
On his May 20 concert at Marquee New York, he said, "I am excited about New York. I always love coming here."
His plans for the future include a lot of music, a new record that he is working on, and he will have releases each month. Gervais is motivated by making music each day. "I have won a Grammy, but to me, that is all in the past. I don't even care about that. I feel like I haven't made it yet, so I'm working every day. I'm waking up, going to the studio and going to the gym and back to the studio and on the road on the weekends," he said.
He praised songstress Lana Del Rey for being incredible. "Working with Lana was a great experience. Her voice is incredible," he said.
Gervais defined the word success as "Working hard."
