By Markos Papadatos     Nov 17, 2014 in Music
Huntington - Keaton and Wesley Stromberg from Emblem3 sat down and chatted with Digital Journal prior to their concert at The Paramount in Huntington, New York.
On performing at The Paramount in Long Island, Wesley said, "It's so amazing to be back. This venue is beautiful. It's one of the best that I have ever played at. We got to play here last year, and now we are luckily getting to perform here again and we are so excited."
Keaton echoed his older brother's remarks. "We played at The Paramount last year, and it was one of the best shows that we had," Keaton said.
Their newest EP, Forever Together, was released at the end of last month. "We were on tour and we were writing every day in the back of the bus, and those were the songs that we were demoing on the tour. Those were the songs that had the best reaction with the crowd," Wesley said.
Regarding their song "Obsessed," they said, "That song was inspired by sweet love. We really wanted to have that raw, reggae, acoustic vibe. I love it, since there are not that many acoustic, reggae love songs like that. It had a great reaction with the crowd. Usually, the crowd loves it."
Keaton noted that the song was produced by them, and it was recorded in his bedroom. "I had a drummer come in and he played live drums on the track and it just became magic," he said.
The duo of brothers will be releasing a new album in the future. "We are going back in the studio immediately when we get home. We are really excited. We have some really great songs that we are working on. There are more shows in the works," Keaton said.
Emblem3 is motivated each day by the love they receive from their fans. "The positivity that they give us every day is incredible. We wake up each day and we can't wait to talk to them on social media," they said.
They briefly recalled their memorable ALS Ice Bucket Challenge experience from the summer. "I feel like we won, and that we had the best one. It was epic," Wesley said. "It's just amazing to give back and to be a part of something so big. Every celebrity was involved and anybody who wanted to make a change was involved. All of the videos that came out that day, raised so much awareness."
For Emblem3, success means "being able to write our own music, and share it with the fans, and do that for the rest of our lives."
They concluded by sharing their gratitude towards their fans, which they affectionately call "Emblems." "We love our fans more than anything in the whole entire world. You guys are the best, ever. I am so thankful, to the point where I cannot put it into words," Wesley said. "We are the luckiest guys in the world to have you. Your love and support means everything to us. We want to be 'forever together'," Keaton added.
