His forthcoming studio effort, Even The River Runs, was produced by Jamie Houston and it will be released via his record label, Show Dog-Universal Music. "I finally get to release it now. It is a good debut of who I am as an artist and what I am going to bring in the future. It is the start of something really cool and I am excited to share it with the fans," he said. "I have a learned a lot over the last three years and I have grown as an artist, songwriter and as a man too. It has been really cool and everything is working out."
It features his latest offering "Don't Tell Me," which will hit SiriusXM's The Highway. Crouse co-wrote the single with such Nashville songwriters James Dean Hicks and Jamie Houston.
He listed "Summer Love" and the closing track "I Never Said I Was in Love" as his personal favorite tunes on the album. "I love 'I Never Said I was in Love' since it is pure and such an honest song about my commitment issues in relationships," he said.
On July 26, he will be performing at the Pennysaver Amphitheater along with Darius Rucker and country singer-songwriter Eric Paslay. "I am always excited to come back to Long Island. Playing there is equal in excitement to playing in Boston. I have always felt at home there," he said. "Eric Paslay is a good buddy of mine and we have written together a couple of times, and Darius has always taken care of me."
A Massachusetts native, Crouse shared that the title track of his CD was inspired by his father, who had convinced him to go to Nashville to pursue his musical dreams.
His breakthrough single "If You Want Some" was a Top 35 hit on country radio, peaking at No. 32. "That song did really great and it was really cool to make my name that way. I love to see how people jam out to that tune when I play it live. It never gets old and it still has a fresh sound," he said.
Throughout his career in country, Crouse has shared the stage with such diverse acts as The Band Perry, Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, Darius Rucker, Sara Evans and The Goo Goo Dolls; moreover, he made his debut on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage, which was yet another milestone for the 22-year-old musician.
