article imageCatching up with Ariana and The Rose Special

New York - Singer-songwriter Ariana and The Rose chatted with me prior to her concert on September 3 at Gramercy Theatre in New York.
The New York songstress was opening for Kendall Schmidt and Dustin Belt, both of which are known as the electro-pop duo Heffron Drive, as part of their "Happy Mistakes" tour. "Kendall's fans have been amazing to us, and very supportive. They love him so much and they have stuck with us for over a year. They are excited about what we are doing because we played shows with Heffron Drive. It was such an awesome fan-base to have an introduction to," she said.
This past December, she played with the duo yet again at Webster Hall in New York City, which she recalled as a pleasant experience. "That was amazing. It feels like it was a long time ago. We finished that tour and now we are doing just a few dates with them and I am excited. It has been fun," she said.
"Heartbeat" was her first single, as well as "In Your Bed" was the follow-up single. "People seemed to like both songs, so I cannot complain," she said graciously.
Over the last year, her fan-base has grown exponentially. This was due to a number of factors: she had released a new EP and she toured internationally in England, where she performed over 20 shows there. "England was amazing, and the EP that we released helped, since people had music to listen to. We have been busy and it has been really good. I am making new music now," she said.
Ariana continued, "I am doing New York Fashion Week. I am doing the runway music for an amazing designer called Alon Livne. We are going to be playing during his fashion show, so it'll be really cool and different. Then, I go back to England, where I will be making a whole record there, and it should be released right at the top of the year. I hope the fans are ready for that."
