Nashville - Country superstar Carrie Underwood emerged as the big winner at this year's CMT Music Awards that took place on June 4 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Underwood took home the biggest award of the evening for "Video of the Year" for her moving "See You Again" music video.
For the win, she bested 11 videos by such artists as Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett and Tim McGraw.
In her acceptance speech, Underwood stated, "It's really hard to believe that I have been doing this for nine years, but every single second of those nine years you guys have been so amazing. God bless country music and its fans. You guys are so amazing to all of us."
Underwood also sang a duet with fellow country songstress and friend Miranda Lambert entitled "Somethin' Bad," which they had previously performed together at this year's Billboard Music Awards.
