Edmonton - Country star Brett Kissel had garnered eight nominations at this year's Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) awards.
The CCMA award ceremony took place yesterday in Edmonton, Canada, and Kissel took home two awards, which included wins for "Interactive Artist of the Year" and his "3-2-1" music video was named "CMT Video of the Year."
This is quite an accomplishment for the 24-year-old Canadian country singer-songwriter, since he was the most-nominated artist this year. Kissel was also in the running for coveted "Male Artist of the Year" and for the "Album of the Year."
"Edmonton, I had the best of times this weekend at the CCMA's, and am excited that I get to be back once again for a few days during the holiday season," Kissel exclaimed via a post on his official Facebook page.
The Warner Music Canada recording artist has released a new single, the emotional "Tough People Do," which really tugs at the heartstrings.
