Brett Eldredge up for 2 Academy of Country Music awards

An Illinois, native, Eldredge is in the running for “New Male Vocalist of the Year,” as well as for the coveted “Male Vocalist of the Year.”

His latest studio album, the critically-acclaimed Illinois, reached the top of the Billboard Top Country Album charts. The album features such singles as “Lose My Mind” and his newest country radio single, “Drunk on Your Love.”

In November of 2014, Eldredge was crowned “New Artist of the Year” by the Country Music Association (CMA).

The 2016 Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards will take place on April 3, and they will be televised on CBS. The ceremony will be co-hosted by country stars Dierks Bentley and last year’s “Entertainer of the Year” winner Luke Bryan.
