Brenda Lee back on Billboard charts with her holiday classic tune

Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” is No. 1 on the Billboard Holiday Airplay charts, which ranks the most popular holiday tunes by radio airplay that is measured by Nielsen Music.

Her Christmas classic is also No. 2 on the Billboard Holiday 100 charts as well, right behind Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

In New York, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” is played consistently on the hit radio station, 106.7 Lite FM. Last year, as Digital Journal reported, it enjoyed similar radio success on the charts, and this is quite impressive as the song was originally released back in 1958 (it was recorded by Lee at the young age of 13).

Lee is best known as “Little Miss Dynamite,” and she is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
