Miami - Electronic dance music (EDM) sensation Avicii had to cancel his appearance at this year's Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida, due to pains in his gallbladder.
He was replaced by deadmau5 who headlined the main event on Saturday.
Avicii thanked his fans for all of their support via Twitter. "Thanks for your concern everyone, it means a lot to me!" he exclaimed via a tweet.
It turns out that he was suffering from a blocked gallbladder, and unbeknownst to him, a ruptured appendix, and he revealed in a subsequent tweet that both were removed during the operation.
Although he is feeling unwell due to both surgeries, he shared on Twitter that he is on "the road to recovery."
He is such for such smash hits as "Levels," "Wake Me Up," "Hey Brother" and "You Make Me."
On behalf of Digital Journal, we wish the 24-year-old EDM superstar a speedy recovery.
