Armada has earned the coveted title of “Best Global Music Label” for five consecutive years from 2009 to 2013, and it has been nominated ever since.
Armada’s flagship artist, Armin van Buuren, scored an impressive 14 nominations in 12 categories; moreover, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike secured six nominations and David Gravell landed two nods. Armada is one of eight record labels battling for the coveted title of “Best Global Music Label.” Its CEO and co-owner, Maykel Piron, who was recently interviewed by Digital Journal, is nominated for “Best Music Label Promoter or Exec In-House” for the fourth time in his career. This is an award Piron previously won from 2010 to 2012.
The results of this year’s IDMA awards will be announced on March 21, the first day of Winter Music Conference in Miami.
Armin’s songs “Embrace,” “Another You” and “Stardust” have all been nominated for “Best Trance Track,” and his collection, A State of Trance 2015, is up for “Best Compilation or Full Length DJ Mix.” Armin is also in the running for “Best Global DJ” and “Best European DJ,” “Best Artist (Solo)” and “Best Trance DJ.”
