This concert will take place in New York City’s Carnegie Hall on March 31 at 8 p.m. The show was initially announced prior to Bowie’s death last week, and now it has turned into a tribute for the late musician. As indicated by the venue’s official homepage, “the concert is a benefit for a variety of music education programs serving underprivileged youth.” It will consist of 20 artists, all of which will be performing songs by Bowie.
Aside from Heart’s Ann Wilson, it will feature such special musical guests as Cyndi Lauper, Jakob Dylan, Perry Farrell and The Roots.
Ever since his death, some of the biggest stars in music have paid tribute to Bowie, including Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Elton John and Adam Lambert.
