Adele’s sales of ’25’ to exceed 3 million units in America

This milestone sets a brand new record, thus placing Adele in her own league, and it was tabulated by Nielsen Music.

This past Wednesday, international superstar Adele performed on the Citi Concert Series on Today, which featured the British songstress singing tunes from her new studio album 25. It took place at Rockefeller Center in New York City, and it was televised on NBC. Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Willie Geist, Tamron Hall, Carson Daly, Hoda Kotb, and Kathie Lee Gifford all serve as the anchors and hosts of Today.

Her interview with host Matt Lauer may be seen here on Today, where she talks about motherhood and her song selection approach for 25, as well as the success of her previous studio effort 21.

This concert series on Today is the longest-running, on-air concert series on a national morning television program. Award-winning artists have performed on the plaza in the famed Studio 1A. The Citi Concert Series on Today is newly-launched, and it is a venture between Citi and NBC News, where they are creating new ways for fans and Citi customers to experience live music.
