article image98 Degrees kick off My2K summer tour, discuss life on tour bus

By Markos Papadatos     Jul 9, 2016 in Music
98 Degrees kicked off their headlining My2k summer tour in Park City, Kansas yesterday. They were joined by O-Town, Dream and Ryan Cabrera.
On June 30, they performed on their smash hits "Because of You" and "The Hardest Thing" on the Today show.
In his interview with People Magazine, Timmons noted that a lot has changed since they toured in the 90's. The majority of the band members (Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey and himself) are all married with children, while Justin Jeffre is single.
Ever since the late '90s, Drew went on to win the second season of the reality dancing competition, Dancing With the Stars, and Jeffre ran for mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2005. Drew's older brother, Nick, married actress and model, Vanessa, and they have two children, while Jeff Timmons had his own "Men of the Strip" male revenue in Las Vegas, along with a reality show. Timmons also branched out in the electronic dance music world with his song "That Girl," that he recently performed at the Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, New York.
This time around, the pop group will be sharing the same bus, while their families are at home, but they have spaced their tour dates in a way that would allow them to go all back home and visit them. Contrary to how things were on their tour bus in the late '90s, the group of heartthrobs has a great understanding of each other, and petty things don't "bother them" anymore, they told People.
