Video: ‘Tekken 7’ opening cinematic movie

Fighting game fans in Japan can look forward to the arcade release of Tekken 7 next week.

Bandai Namco is reminding everybody by posting the opening cinematic movie for the game, which has Kazuya Mishima and Heihachi Mishima fighting on an active volcano. This scene has been featured in the previous trailers for the game, which is poetic because Heihachi threw Kazuya into a volcano at the end of Tekken 2.

This game will conclude the “Mishima Saga,” which existed since the first Tekken title.

Tekken 7’s story focuses on Kazumi Mishima, the late-wife of Heihachi Mishima and the late-mother of Kazuya Mishima. The past trailers and the opening cinematic movie give the implication that the “Devil Gene” is hereditary and that Kazuya inherited it from Kazumi, which was passed onto Jin Kazama.

Japanese arcades receive the game on February 18th.

Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Ling Xiaoyu, Leo Klissen, Feng Wei, Alisa Bosconovitch, King, Asuka Kazama, Lili Rochefort, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Bryan Fury, Lars Alexandersson, and Dragunov are returning characters.

New characters are Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alves, Lucky Chloe, and Shaheen.

It was originally believed that Lucky Chloe would be exclusive to Europe and Asia because a group of North American gamers were dissatisfied with her design.

There is a likely chance that North America will be able to use Lucky Chloe when Tekken 7 becomes available.

Tekken 7 is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will introduce new game play dynamics: “Power Clash” and “Rage Arts.”

Power Clash allows the attacking player to execute complex moves and combos without being interrupted by the opponent.

Rage Art is a powerful desperation move that players can use when their life meter drops down to a certain point.

It is unknown when Tekken 7 will release outside Japan or hit consoles.
