Video: ‘Mortal Kombat X’ Erron Black trailer

Mortal Kombat’s Earthrealm fighters were like the rendition of the Village People in since Mortal Kombat 3.

You had Nightwolf as the token Native American, Jax as the token military guy, and Kurtin Stryker as the token cop.

Mavado could be classified as the token leather-clad man since his appearance in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, but don’t count on him being in Mortal Kombat X since he got PWNed by the likes of Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs.

Any other Mortal Kombat character could serve as the token construction guy, but there was nobody to fill the role of the token cowboy.

But that was until now…

Mortal Kombat X is heading to the current-generation consoles on April 14th, which most of you should know already. DC Comics released Mortal Kombat X: Blood Ties, which releases every Sunday, that ties into the main game.

The comics introduced newcomer Erron Black, a gunslinger, who serves as one of Kotal Kahn’s fiercest and most loyal warriors. He served as a liaison between Kotal Kahn and Kano’s Black Dragons, but he was abandoned by Kano for refusing to be “evil.”

Erron Black is could be compared to Clint Eastwood back when he did all those Wild West movies.

It is now official, Erron Black is actually a playable character in Mortal Kombat X and NetherRealm Studios has posted his special trailer. The guy fights like a true gunslinger as he handles those revolves like a boss.

Black’s trailer speaks for itself, which leaves the possibility of many gamers using and abusing him once Mortal Kombat X comes out. His three game play variations leave a lot to speculate on once NetherRealm Studios decides to elaborate more on him.

His X-Ray move has one of the most awesome animation sequences from what the trailer shows.

Not much of Black’s story has been revealed, but he used to be a mercenary until he joined up with Kotal Kahn’s army.

This isn’t the only news so far, there was the announcement that the Predator from the Predator was going to be the second guest fighter for Mortal Kombat X. Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th is the first confirmed guest fighter.

It also gave confirmation that Liu Kang, Mortal Kombat’s original champion, was going to be in the game.

A recent trailer confirms that Liu Kang will be in the game.

Liu Kang was killed at the end of Mortal Kombat 9’s story mode by Raiden because of a heated disagreement they had. Shinnok brought Liu Kang and Kung Lao back to life as his minions, which leads to the possibility that they were freed from his control.
