Games developer Insomniac Games and publisher Microsoft have teamed up to produce a viral teaser website for the upcoming Xbox One exclusive title 'Sunset Overdrive'.
Previewed last year at the E3 games conference to high praise from prospective fans, the first-person shooter will be available only on Microsoft's Xbox One console. The website launched today is advertised as being for 'OverCharge Delirium XT', a fictional drink known to appear in the game, but also features details of six possible characters and two locations.
It now looks likely that fans will be able to get their hands on this Xbox exclusive well before the end of the year. It is also quite possible that more information on the title will be made available by publisher or developer this month as Microsoft's current head of the Xbox division recently wrote on Twitter that May will be a "good month for gaming" — hinting that more news from his department on future games will be made available soon.
A last interesting feature of the new teaser website is that four locations listed just happen to fall in the same places and times as the most anticipated gaming conferences still to come this year: Los Angeles on June 9 — the infamous E3, San Diego on July 24 — Comic-Con International, Cologne on August 13 — Gamescom — and Seattle on August 30 — in time for PAX Prime. Whatever happens, it looks certain that fans of this new title will not have to wait much longer to learn more news on it.
