Like its predecessor; Resident Evil 0 HD will feature improved graphics set at 1080p and running at 60fps. Players can enjoy the experience in 5.1 surround support along with a choice of playing the game in the classic 4:3 ratio or 16:9 widescreen. Gamers also have the choice of playing with either a new or classic control setup.
Capcom has also released several screenshots to demonstrate the difference between the original and the HD remake. It has also been confirmed that Koji Oda, director of the original Resident Evil 0, has returned to lead this project.
The game is set to be released for all Next-Gen consoles and the PC (through the Steam Store) sometime in early 2016. Capcom is expected to release more details about the game during E3 2015.
Resident Evil Zero was the fifth game in the series and was a prequel that explained the origins of the T-Virus outbreak. Players switch between Rebecca Chambers, a member of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team, and Billy Coen, a military convict, as they try to survive the horrors that lurk in an Umbrella owned train and secret training facility.
Along with REmake, Resident Evil Zero was released exclusively on the GameCube as part of an agreement with Nintendo. Resident Evil Zero was never remade for other consoles while Resident Evil HD was released in January 2015 on all major consoles and the PC.
