Bethesda Studios and Turn 10 have teamed up to give Forza Motorsport 6 and Fallout 4 fans something doubly special. A DLC for the former game will introduce a couple of Fallout-themed cars, including the Chryslus Rocket 69.
Forza 6 is an Xbox One exclusive title and the latest incarnation of the long-running racing series. The game is popular with fans and has already received numerous DLC packs since launch but the latest one, available for download now, may be one of the most exciting for Fallout fans.
Turn 10 is celebrating the launch of Bethesda's hotly-anticipated Fallout 4 next week by adding the 1956 Ford F100 pick-up truck to Forza 6. The truck doesn't appear to be in perfect condition though. Instead, it is riddled with rust and finished in turquoise paint and "Vault-Tec" decals to create the iconic vehicle of the Fallout series.
The vehicle is introduced in a video on the Xbox YouTube channel. The Vault-Tec F100 isn't the only Fallout-themed Forza content as a teaser at the end of the video reveals the Chryslus Rocket 69 will soon be available too. Fallout fans will know Chryslus — a take on the real-life Chrysler brand — as one of the largest car manufacturers from before the war began.
The DLC is available for free to all Forza players. Turn 10 said in the video description: "Forza fans, discover the new exclusive Fallout 4-themed version of the 1956 Ford F100, new in Forza Motorsport 6 today! All Forza players can enjoy the new truck and take it for a spin to celebrate the launch of Fallout 4 next week. Watch the video and stay tuned to for updates on another Fallout 4 surprise coming to Forza Motorsport 6."
The content is sure to please fans of both games and also represents another interesting new addition to the vast Forza 6 garage. The title was released two months ago and has since received extra car packs themed around Fast and Furious, Logitech G and eBay Motors.
Bethesda's Fallout 4 will be released next week and looks set to be one of the most popular new games this holiday season. The title sees the return of the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the previous entries in the series and also lets the player use their smartphone as a real-life "Pip-Boy", an accessory in the game.
