article image'Grand Theft Auto V' officially confirmed for next-gen consoles

After months of speculation and rumors, Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that 'Grand Theft Auto V' is in the works for the PC along with the Next Gen consoles.
Sony first confirmed the news during E3 before Rockstar made an official announcement. The game is set to be released sometime during the Fall of 2014.
Ever since the release of Grand Theft Auto V for the PS3 and Xbox 360, there has been speculations of a PC and Next Gen console release. Several sources with in the in the media along with retailers have discussed a possible release date.
Back in January several retailers claimed that Grand Theft Auto V will be coming to the PC in March. It started with Thiago Diniz, director of digital distribution of games at Nuveem (a Brazilian retailer) stating that the PC version is expected to be released on March 12. This was followed by Amazon France, Amazon Germany and Elgianten (a Nordic retailer) claiming the game is available for pre-order.
When March passed, Saturn.de (a German retailer) claimed the game will be coming to the PC and the Next-Gen consoles in June.
Grand Theft Auto V was released on September 17 and it has been highly praised by critics as one of the greatest games developed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game generated over $1 billion in three days, beating the previous 15-day record set by Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
