In the past year, he partnered with Electus, on the new paranormal series “One Last Time With John Edward.” This series is pushing the boundaries of the afterlife and redefining the paranormal using new technology. Each episode will be an hour long, and he will be using exclusive technology to connect with the people.
He served as the host and executive producer of Crossing Over with John Edward and John Edward Cross Country, thus becoming the first psychic to host his own unscripted cable television series, as well as a syndicated international television series. “From the perspective of doing it, the responsibility of making sure that the work was honored was pretty overwhelming. I don’t know if I truly appreciated the opportunity that fell upon me at that time, so when it was all said and done, I saw the magnitude of what the show represented and what it did internationally for people to look at the subject matter with a more grounded perspective. It took it out of the shadows and brought it into the light. Today, I am honored and blown away by what it did. It was amazing,” he said.
Edward began his professional career while he was a teenager. His previous jobs include a clerk at a video store, a phlebotomist, as well as a professional ballroom dancer. He wrote and published “What if God Were the Sun,” a New York Times best-selling book, which was adapted into an Emmy-nominated film on Lifetime in 2007.
In 2002, he was named one of People Magazine’s “Most Intriguing People of the Year.” “That was cool. When I came home, the magazine was out on my kitchen table, and my wife said to me ‘go ahead, do it.’ And I asked her ‘do what?’ She was like ‘do something intriguing’,” he said.
His plans for the rest of the year, include traveling from state to state and from city to city, where he teaches and does his events and sees his clients privately. “We are launching a tour in the United Kingdom and in Australia. I am doing an online show called ‘Evolve.’ Online is where I do most of my events now,” he said.
Edward’s greatest achievement is family and his children. “My greatest accomplishment is empowering my two children, these two energies, to become the best people they possibly can, and make a difference in the world.”
He defined the word success as “peace of mind.”
