The first trailer was streamed for the upcoming cartoon series "Mike Tyson Mysteries." It was streamed at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Last year it was reported that retired professional boxer Mike Tyson was getting his own cartoon series called Mike Tyson Mysteries to be on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. Since then, there wasn't any further news on the potential series. On the first day of this year's San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC 2014), actual news was made for the series.
The first ever trailer was streamed for Mike Tyson Mysteries. It stars Mike Tyson as himself.
The story of Mike Tyson Mysteries focuses on Tyson, who is a private eye. He answers calls through his pigeons that have messages tied to their legs. When reading those messages, Tyson gets on the case. He is assisted by a talking pigeon named Pigeon, a ghost named Marquess of Queensbury (a play on the Boxing rules of the same name), and his adopted Asian daughter named Yung Hee.
As the trailer shows, Mike Tyson Mysteries is similar to Jackie Chan Adventures, Scooby Doo and Venture Brothers. The exact air date for Mike Tyson Mysteries has yet to be given out. The format, humorously, has Tyson using his boxing skills to take on all sorts of different enemies such as a Chupacabra.
Tyson held a panel on the upcoming cartoon series at Comic-Con where he was met with standing ovation.
