Aniplex of America: ‘Kill La Kill’ coming to Toonami on Feb. 7th

If you attended Otakon Vegas, which takes place this current weekend, you may have attended the Aniplex of America panel.

Aniplex of America announced that Kill La Kill, the 2013 anime based off the original manga, is coming to Toonami. The premiere date will be on February 7th at 11:30 PM. If you can stay up until late, you can catch the premiere.

The fourth Blu-Ray and DVD to Kill La Kill is scheduled to release on February 24th and Aniplex of America announced the fifth and Aniplex of America, at its Otakon Vegas panel, announced that the fifth Blu-Ray is scheduled to release on April 28th.

The company even streamed a special trailer for the upcoming Toonami premiere.

You may have already streamed Kill La Kill on Hulu or Crunchyroll.

If not, the gist of Kill La Kill centers on Ryuko Matoi, who is on a mission to find the person that murdered her father. The search leads Ryuko to the Totalitarian governed school Honnouji Academy, where Student Council President Satsuki Kiryuuin has the information she needs.

But getting the information from Satsuki is easier said than is easier done.

Ryuko must defeat Satsuki’s underlings, the Elite Four, before she has the right to confront Satsuki herself and find out culprit behind her dad’s murder. Senketsu, a sentient talking school uniform, aids Ryuko in her journey.

Kill La Kill’s English dub has a notable cast consisting of Erica Mendez, Christine Maria Cabanos, Matt Mercer, Patrick Seitz, Benjamin Diskin, Christina Vee, Stephanie Sheh, Lindsey Eaton, Todd Haberkorn, and more.

Aniplex of America holds licenses to many anime titles such as Gurren Lagaan, Fate/Zero, Durarara!!, Saekano: How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend, Samurai Flamento, Blue Exorcist, Sword Art Online, Valvrave The Liberator, and more.
