JoJo fans, look forward to watching Iggy in action with the continuation of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders," which airs in January.
Season two of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, starts back up again next year, which starts next month. Warner Brothers Japan, the studio in charge of producing the series, streamed a brief teaser trailer for the “Egypt Arc,” where the second half takes place. This is the story arc that introduces the newest member to team JoJo, Iggy, who is a Boston Terrier. Like the rest of the JoJo crew, Iggy has the ability to wield a Stand.
Adapted from Hirohiko Araki's original manga series of the same name, which remains ongoing, the upcoming second half to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, takes place in Egypt, where it is the destination of protagonists Jotaro Kujo and Joseph Joestar. They are joined by fellow Stand users Muhammad Avdol, Noriyaki Kakyoin, and Jean-Pierre Polnareff.
If you have not watched the first half to the series, you can do so on Crunchyroll.
Stardust Crusaders is the third volume of the overall story. It is the most popular volume because this is the first time that Stands are introduced. Stands, invisible to the naked eye, can only be seen by other Stand users or by people with strong psychic powers. The story takes place in 1987, where an older Joseph Joestar flies out to Japan after learning his grandson, Jotaro, is in prison.
Joseph reveals that he himself and Jotaro both possess Stands. Holly Kujo, Jotaro's mother and Joseph's daughter, develops a Stand ability, too, but lacks the warrior spirit to control it. If Holly is not cured in a certain amount of time, she will succumb to her Stand and be “eaten alive.” The only clue they have is a shadowy image of Dio Brando, the antagonist of the first volume of the story.
They learn that Dio, brought back to life, is the reason the surviving members of the Joestar family have Stand abilities. The JoJos must travel from Japan to Egypt, before time runs out, to fight and kill Dio. As if fighting Dio would be hard enough, he is able to see the movements of the JoJos, which allows him to dispatch enemy Stand users.
The JoJos do not get a moment to rest as danger is around every corner. A simple trip across the Eastern Hemisphere becomes a “bizarre” adventure and a battle to prevent Dio from taking over the world.
As Iggy is introduced, the second half to Stardust Crusaders will start off with the JoJos trying to find N'Dul, who wields the Stand, Geb, named after the Egyptian god, which is water-based. N'Dul, who was born blind, has heightened hearing, which gives him a dangerous advantage over the JoJos.
Season one of the anime covers the first and second volumes, Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency.
You can also watch season one on Crunchyroll. Look forward to the continuation in January.
