The first trailer has been streamed for the upcoming supernatural horror and thriller Japanese anime series Tokyo Ghoul, which will be airing in Japan this summer. This trailer was streamed at this year's AnimeJapan event. If you are into shows that have themed focusing on cannibalism and the undead in regards to an underground society similar to the 1991 episode from Tales From The Crypt called “Mournin' Mess.” The series is adapted from the manga of the same name.
Tokyo Ghoul takes place in modern day Japan with a string of cannibalistic murders. It focuses on college student Ken Kaneki who theorizes with his friend Toka Kirishima (a fellow college student) about the existence of ghouls and how they might be the cause of these gruesome murders that have taken place and still remain unsolved. At the same time, nobody knows what a ghoul looks like. On that same note, many people are living their lives in terror because of these ghouls and their cannibalistic ways. But, it's still believe that ghouls are a myth.
However, upon an encounter with Rize Kamishiro who frequents the same cafe as him, Ken will learn that the myth is pretty much a very dark reality.
