A trailer has been streamed for the upcoming new original anime series from P.A. Work "Shirobako," which airs this October.
The Japanese anime production company P.A. Work, at this year's Comic Market (Comiket), streamed the first trailer for one of his newest original Japanese anime titles Shirobako. This is from the same company that produced the currently airing summer anime series Glasslip. As the trailer shows, Shirobako is an anime series that should be easy and relaxing to watch. After watching some intense anime or live-action series or getting done with some intense activity, Shirobako serves as an excellent title to watch if you want to relax and wind down.
Also, as the trailer shows, Shirobako has plenty of educational value. This is an example of how many shows, let alone anime series, in Asia (especially in Japan and South Korea) try to give an authentic feel of what working in a certain field is like. The premiere date for Shirobako will be sometime in October, but an exact date has yet to be given. Anime News Network (ANN) reports that Shirobako will also have a manga series which will go into circulation starting in September.
Shirobako centers on a group of young female school students who are majoring in different forms of film & TV production. These girls got together over doughnuts and talked about wanting careers in the world of Japanese anime. The girls are pursuing different routes in animation which shows that it is always a team effort for a TV show; anime is by no means any different. The trailer introduces the five main characters: Aoi Miyamori who is majoring in production, Ema Yasuhara who is an animator, Misa Todo who focuses on 3D CGI, and Midori Imai who is planning to become a script writer. Asides from those five, there are more people involved in production.
They talk about, in the trailer, about how hard it is to work and having to deal with things such as cuts to the budget and content. Plus, they talk about learning how to make deadlines. Due to the content of Shirobako, this appeals to everybody.
