Trevor Noah to perform stand-up comedy at The Paramount in NY

Over the course of his career, Noah has hosted many television shows in his native country, which include South Africa’s film, television and music awards, as well as the South African Comedy Festival, and two seasons of his own late night talk show.

Noah made his television debut on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in America, and has also appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, where he became the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on either late night show.

He performed his one-man show “The Racist” at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2012, where he played for a sold-out run, earning praise from critics. He was the subject of David Paul Meyer’s documentary feature film You Laugh But It’s True, which deals with his impressive career in post-apartheid South Africa.

His comedy special, Trevor Noah: African American premiered on Showtime in 2013, and in March of 2015, Comedy Central announced that he would become the host of The Daily Show, following the departure of Jon Stewart.

He continues to tour all over the world and has performed for sold-out crowds in the most prestigious venues worldwide. He has been spotlighted by such media outlets as Rolling Stone, Newsweek and The Wall Street Journal, among others.
