The first trailer for AMC's upcoming Season 5 of its hit zombie drama series "The Walking Dead" has been given a Lego makeover.
At just under three minutes in duration, the video is a Lego reinterpretation of AMC's official Season 5 trailer, which was released by the company in July, premiering at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con.
It has been created by kristo499, a YouTuber who has uploaded a number of Lego videos.
Accompanying the YouTube upload, kristo499 writes: "Police officer Rick Grimes leads a group of survivors in a world overrun by zombies. After learning that Terminus was nothing but a trap, Rick and the group must do whatever it takes to escape."
As reported by Laughing Squid, the Lego The Walking Dead Season 5 trailer is a "fantastic stop-motion animated" remake of the original, which can be viewed below.
As can be seen, and as Can Tran reported for Digital Journal last month, the Season 5 storyline will see the group heading to DC, but "Rick [Andrew Lincoln] and the others won't be able to [set off] without the group from Terminus. [Also] there is the mysterious person who many distrust [and] tension between Rick and Abraham [Michael Cudlitz]."
Season 5 of The Walking Dead, which will comprise 16 episodes, is set to premiere in the US on Sunday, October 12. Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Chandler Riggs as his son, Carl, Steven Yeun as Glen Rhee and Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon all return. They will be joined by Christian Serratos, Alanna Masterson and Andrew J. West as, respectively, Rosita, Tara and Gareth.
As previously reported, the new season will begin in over 125 territories just one day after its US premiere.
