The first official film trailer for the upcoming British movie "The Riot Club", which is based on a West End play, has now been released.
The Riot Club, which is based on the play, Posh, by Laura Wade, stars Olly Alexander (Le Week-End), Douglas Booth (Worried About the Boy), Sam Claflin (Love, Rosie), Natalie Dormer (The Fades), Jessica Brown Findlay, Max Irons (The White Queen) and Sam Reid ('71 ).
Directed by Lone Scherfig (An Education), Wade has written the screenplay for the film version of her original play.
It tells the story of an Oxford-student dining club called the Riot Club, thought to be is a fictionalised parody of the Bullingdon Club, an exclusive society at Oxford University, noted for its grand banquets and boisterous rituals. Included among the membership of the Bullingdon Club are the UK Prime Minister David Cameron, his Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne and London Mayor Boris Johnson, all members of the British Conservative Party.
The movie, which began filming in June last year, is set for a September 12, 2014 UK release.
