The first official trailer for the second season of Allan Cubitt's BBC Two thriller series, The Fall, has now been released.
The Fall, which stars Gillian Anderson (Our Robot Overlords) and Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), completed its first successful season in 2013; with Season 2 having been announced early, part-way through its initial run.
As reported by Digital Spy, new trailer focuses on the obsession Dornan's character, Paul Spector, has with DSI Stella Gibson (Anderson): watching over her motionless body and of news footage of her in a darkened bedroom.
The Fall, set Northern Ireland, follows the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) and its investigation into a string of recent murders. Unable to close the case after 28 days, the PSNI turns to the Metropolitan Police, bringing in Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson to review the case. Under her leadership, the Northern Ireland detectives must track down a serial killer (Dornan) who attacks young, professional women in the Belfast.
Season 2 of The Fall will air on BBC Two, as did Season 1, this coming fall (autumn).
