One of the most talked about short stories in the horror genre on Amazon today is the latest work by Angelo King. But unless you don't want to sleep tonight, you may want to think twice about downloading it.
"The Exorcism of Baby Michael," released last month, has already earned a reputation for depicting what can only be described as some of the most eerie and unsettling imagery of any work of horror in recent memory.
According to those who have read the short story, King's use of "utterly terrifying" concepts and suggestions rather than details of explicit gore enable the work to "really screw with your mind."
“The Exorcism of Baby Michael," is promoted as a "recount of the first week of life for an unholy infant born to anguished parents who make the unprecedented decision to subject their newborn child to the rite of exorcism without the formal sanction of the Catholic Church."
The eBook exclusive on Amazon (available for $2.99) has become the subject of Hollywood rumors in recent days. Despite being released just two weeks ago, speculation is rampant that rights to the eBook are already being courted by producers.
As of this writing, there are no plans to make the ebook available in print or for download through iTunes or Barnes & Noble. It's a Kindle exclusive, boasts publisher Short Horror Electronic Press, noting that the short story is actually free to read for Kindle Unlimited subscribers.
