Rockette Tiffany Griffin talks New York Spectacular at Radio City (Includes interview)

“It is amazing to be a Rockette,” she said. “I absolutely love it. A lot of us have the same story. I grew up in the West Coast and I would watch the Rockettes on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and it was just so amazing to see them on TV, and that’s what I wanted to do. As I got older, I got taller and I auditioned and got the job, and it felt great to be a Rockette. I had seen the show a couple of months before I auditioned, but it’s pretty incredible.”

Each day, Griffin is motivated by fulfilling her dream. “Literally it is a dream come true to be a Rockette. That is motivation in itself, and successful as a professional dancer in this world. Our new show, New York Spectacular, is an amazing show. It’s a loaded run that is eight weeks long that is perfect for families visiting New York. It takes us on a journey. It’s about two kids that are separated from their parents and many things come to life, and it is very motivating to be a part of this show.”

She continued, “I love performing and being a part of this entertainment business. I plan on continuing this road, and being a Rockette is an amazing success for me.”

For aspiring Rockettes, she said, “Take every single style that you possibly can: jazz, tap, ballet, modern and contemporary. What’s really cool is that ‘New York Spectacular’ is a very dynamic show, and a really cool experience for me.”

“Success means being happy with yourself and being happy with your journey in life and being positive. That is very important. I can honestly say that I am so happy that I have been a part of this journey at Radio City. It has been a dream come true,” she concluded.
