The movie follows around Boyd Mitchler (Joel McHale) and his wife Luann (Lauren Graham), who are forced to spend Christmas with Boyd's father, Mitch, played by the
late Robin Williams.
As
detailed by Digital Spy, "When Boyd forgets to bring his son's presents, he embarks on a trip with his father and brother to collect the gifts before sunrise."
Merry Friggin' Christmas also features Candice Bergen, Clarke Duke, Wendi, Tim Heidecker, McLendon-Covey and Oliver Platt.

At the time of his death, Williams, 63, had finished work on four films yet to be released,
