article imageReview: Magician Jamie Raven mesmerizes on 'Britain's Got Talent'

By Markos Papadatos     Apr 18, 2015 in Entertainment
British magician Jamie Raven auditioned for the reality competition, "Britain's Got Talent" and he was able to wow all four judges.
This 31-year-old magician was able to leave audience members and viewers at home breathless thanks to his close-up magic.
He began his magic set by turning a 50 pound note into one that had all four faces of the judges, which he affectionately dubbed as a bill from the "Bank of Britain's Got Talent." "A much rarer, and infinitely more valuable," he proclaimed.
He gave one to critical judge Simon Cowell, and then Raven handed out 50 pound notes (with their faces) to the remaining judges, as he made more of them.
Particularly impressive was his final card trick, which began with his self-portrait on a deck of cards. Raven subsequently transformed the deck of cards into a caricature flip book, and he was able to predict which card the judges had selected in the beginning, which was absolutely astonishing. This garnered him a well-deserved standing ovation.
"I know this sounds crazy, but now, I actually believe in magic," a stunned Simon Cowell said. The other judges concurred that there was no explanation for that.
The YouTube clip of his spell-binding performance may be seen below.
Jamie Raven is following into the footsteps of Britain's Got Talent alums James More and Darcy Oake in becoming the next master magician.
