This dramatic series was created by Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal. In Colony, Holloway plays a Homeland Security agent and it has a futuristic nature to it. The show centers on his family’s struggle to survive after Los Angels is taken over. Holloway plays former FBI agent Will Bowman, and actress Sarah Wayne Callies (best known from The Walking Dead) stars as his beautiful wife, Katie Bowman.
In this new drama series, some will choose to work with the occupation of the Colony Transitional Authority, others may benefit from the new order, while others will be more rebellious. The performances are intense since the family is separated from their middle son and they are doing whatever it takes to reunite with him. Katie and Will will be faced with a very difficult decision, in an effort to make that reunion with their son happen.
The Verdict
Overall, Colony is worth well more than just a passing glance. Josh Holloway delivers a spell-binding performance, and so does the rest of the all-star cast. It is recommended for fans of espionage, mystery, thriller and science fiction. Viewers that enjoyed Holloway in Lost, will certainly find Colony a real treat since it displays his tremendous acting ability. It earns 4.5 out of 5 stars. Colony airs on Thursday nights at 10 p.m. on the USA network.
