The season begins with Angel taking a walk on water, but this time, as opposed to do it on a pool, he does it at Las Vegas’ Lake Mead, which is an impressive sight. It subsequently features his “Building Implosion Escape,” which took place in Clearwater, Florida, in yet another memorable event. He was also kind enough to invite several skeptics to lead him to the edge of four elevator doors, where one would have any empty shaft, and if he were to chose the wrong door, he would perish. Fortunately, he was able to succeed and prove the skeptics wrong.
The “Nail Gun” demonstration was a time that Angel’s illusion did not go as planned, and it lead to serious consequences, proving that magic can be difficult from a physical standpoint. The first disc ends with a live cremation, which is equally stunning.
The second disc of the season 4 Mindfreak DVD includes Angel doing close-up magic in front of people’s eyes, and it concludes with him teaching illusions to his celebrity friends that include Ted Nugent, Sully Erna, Elvis Costello and actor Anthony Michael Hall. It also features his famous escape over Bourbon Street in New Orleans, where he shatters Houdini’s record, as he wears two straight jackets while he is chained and hung upside down over thousands of spectators, thus breaking a world record.
The third and final disc of the fourth season featured Angel transforming a toy Hummer into a huge SUV, as well as his birthday celebration; moreover, he goes back and fulfills the escape from the locked kennel in the aquarium, which had almost resulted in him drowning a year ago.
The Verdict
Overall, Criss Angel’s season 4 of Mindfreak is extremely entertaining and fun to watch with the entire family. He proves to be a genius in his craft. It earns an A rating.
