article imageOops! ... I Did It Again: Britney sued by dancer over broken nose

By Nora Meszaros     May 5, 2014 in Entertainment
Woodland Hills - A back-up dancer claiming Britney Spears backhanded her during a rehearsal and broke her nose is now taking legal action against the pop star.
Hit Me Baby One More Time:
Dancer Dawn Noel is slated to file a lawsuit today against Britney Spears for an incident which occurred during the rehearsals for shooting the music video for “Work Bitch.”
According to TMZ, Noel said she showed up at the rehearsal studio in Woodland Hills, CA on August 19, 2013, where she and other back-up dancers warmed up. Noel told TMZ that Spears showed up several hours later, “in a disheveled and confused state,” and reportedly smacked the dancer in the face during a dance step in which she lost her balance and extended her hands towards the dancer. New York Daily News reports that Spears allegedly said, “I’m sorry” before continuing ahead with the rehearsal.
Noel will follow through with the suit, claiming that she needed surgery for a nasal bone fracture, for which she was supposed to receive reimbursement from Spears’ team, according to New York Daily News.
Spears and her reps were unavailable for comment, and Noel’s lawyer Sark Ohanian from Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley will file the suit today against the pop star, TMZ reports.
This is not the singer’s first time being sued and likely won’t be the last. However, her history of lawsuits should prove that it’s hard to win against Queen B:
In 2012, Spears and her family appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom following a lawsuit from former manager, Sam Lutfi, over the singer’s drug use during 2007, Music Mix reports. Lutfi sued for defamation and sought 15 percent of Spears’ earnings in the eight months he managed her. Despite his efforts, the family was given a three-year restraining order against Lutfi in 2009.
In 2011, Spears and Elizabeth Arden faced a $10 million lawsuit over one of the many perfumes — Radiance — the singer has released. Company Brand Sense filed a lawsuit against the team claiming Spears and her father, Jamie, stopped paying their agreed 35 percent commission. A Los Angeles judge denied the request for the terms, but ordered Spears and Arden to re-issue the fragrance under a new name, Cosmic Radiance.
In 2005, Spears was sued by Louis Vuitton over her music video, “Do Somethin,’” which included an upholstered interior of a Hummer, decked out in counterfeit cherry blossom fabrics. While the lawsuit did not involve any financial settlement or extreme legal fees, the singer’s video was banned from European TV stations.
Let’s get real here: even Louis Vuitton couldn’t win in court against Britney Spears. (Not really, anyway.) But now this back-up dancer will? Please.
It’s Britney, bitch.
