Leakes, 46, has been given a huge raise to remain on RHOA. She is set to earn $1.5 million for the seventh season of the show, according to
Daily Mail.
A source said she was able to secure the payday because out of all the housewives on all of the Bravo franchises, she is the most popular one.
According to
Radar Online, the source went on to say that RHOA wouldn't be as big as it is without Leakes. The source added that RHONJ and RHONY have endured slumps in ratings, but RHOA has never experienced that.
The
Inquisitr reported that throughout season 7, fans will see Leakes work on her newest projects, which includes preparing for Broadway's Cinderella.
Some of the other housewives, including Kenya Moore, Kandi Buruss, Cynthia Bailey and Phaedra Parks, will return for the seventh season.
According to
Bravo, the new season of Real Housewives Of Atlanta will air on November 9.
Leakes has been with the show since it's first airing back in 2008. Asides from the RHOA, she has started in her own spin-off series
I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding, which centered around her second wedding to Gregg Leakes.
