In the final episode of Breaking Bad, White managed to escape Nazi drug manufacturers, thanks to his device, which was thrown together with an M60 and a garage door opener. However, it had to shoot through the metal of the vehicle through some sheetrock in order to hit its targets. This may seem impossible, but Adam and Jamie from MythBusters proved that it actually is possible.
MythBusters recruited Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, so he could test the idea out. Just like White, basic store-bought materials were bought and then the M60 was mounted on a swiveling desk chair base. It was placed in a car’s trunk and aimed at a building facade with some cutouts that resembled Walter White’s enemies.
The end result was that the bullets made it through the metal of the car, through the wall and all of the cutouts were struck. This means that what Walter White did in the final episode of the show, was plausible.
Discovery uploaded the video to YouTube a few days ago and it has gone viral. As of now, it has gotten more than 350,000 views and more than 2,000 thumbs ups .
