"Someday," a new video created by PETA and animated by Anna Saunders, is scheduled to be featured on rock icon Morrissey's nationwide tour.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have put together a new animated short film titled Someday. The cartoon is set to the 1992 track I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday from the famously vegetarian singer-songwriter Morrissey. The animated feature will be played at the start of Morrissey's concerts this year; it is also available on the PETA website and via the campaign group's YouTube channel.
The video, Billboard reports, is animated by Anna Saunders and follows the dreary life of a newborn chick snatched from its mother and raised in a dark-caged existence.
Morrissey has long been a campaigner for animal rights, both as a member of The Smiths and as a solo artist. Via his concerts, Morrissey raises awareness about issues ranging from the fur trade to factory farm cruelty.
As an aside, Morrissey has released a new album this week called World Peace is None of Your Business. The album has generally received high critical acclaim. The album includes a swipe a bullfighting, with a track mischievously titled The Bullfighter Dies.
