By Tim O'Brien     Sep 3, 2014 in Entertainment
Nashville - Miranda Lambert tops the field as the Country Music Association Awards nominations were announced today (Sept. 3). Lambert received nine nominations while Dierks Bentley, Eric Church and Keith Urban grabbed four each.
“The 48th Annual CMA Awards” will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
A batch of nominees were announced on ABC this morning with the rest added later today.
The announcement this morning in five categories was done by Darius Rucker and Little Big Town. “This is a great slate of nominees with established superstars, industry icons, and breakthrough acts all represented,” said CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern, in the official release.
“Country Music’s Biggest Night™" is how it is billed. So much so that it is trademarked. It will be and broadcast live from Nashville, Wednesday, Nov. 5 on ABC. “The 2014 CMA Awards are destined to be the best yet," added Trahem.
Some award shows like this make tickets available to the public, which explains all the screaming when it airs. Tickets go on sale to the public Saturday, Sept. 6 and 10 a.m. CT. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com; or by calling 1 (800) 745-3000. If in or around Nashville, head to the Bridgestone Arena Box Office on Broadway.
