New Brunswick - Spanish street magician Adrian Vega chatted with Digital Journal about being a part of "The Supernaturalists" and their future shows.
In "The Supernaturalists," Vega is the street magician of the ensemble magic show, who performs close-up magic for the audience. "The world premiere at Foxwoods was amazing," he said. "The audience was beautiful every day, and it was almost sold out. We sold a lot of tickets, and it was a great experience. We enjoyed the show."
In a few weeks, they will be bringing their magic production to the State Theatre in New Jersey, which begins on September 18. "We are working very hard every day. We are trying to create a more perfect show, first and foremost. I can't wait to show new things in my close-up set, and I am very happy for that," he said.
Vega's future plans are to continue working with "The Supernaturalists." "We are very happy with the people and the crew. Next year, we will do more touring," he said. "Besides that, I am writing a book with all my ideas for Spain. It's a way to show my ideas, and I like to share them. It will be published in Spanish and hopefully, afterwards, we will publish it in English too."
Throughout his career in magic, he was the solo first place winner in close-up magic and stage magic in the Cordoba magic competition. Vega also won the Spanish Championship of Close-Up magic. "I won the first place prize in Spain for close-up magic. It was a great moment," he said.
In addition, Vega has been named "Spanish Magician of The Year" by his peers, and he earned a special "Award of Merit" in London.
