‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage to be inducted into WWE Hall Of Fame

The ‘Macho Man’ will be the first to be inducted into the 2015 Hall Of Fame. The WWE uploaded a photo to Instagram and said they were proud to welcome Randy Savage to the WWE HOF class of 2015.

The WWE also uploaded a photo of Hulk Hogan, and said that the Immortal Hulk Hogan will induct Macho Man on March 28, on the WWE Network. The ceremony will be taking place in San Jose, California, on the night before the company’s biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania 31.

Lanny Poffy, Savage’s brother, said he was excited when he hear the news. He said he was happy for the fans, and it was emotional. Poffy continued to say that they waited many years to induct Bruno Sammartino, and now they waited for Savage.

Savage is perhaps best known for the flashy outfits he used to wear, as well as his raspy voice and the elbow drop, which was his signature move. He was also a key figure in helping to take professional wrestling to a new level during the 80s, when the industry experienced a boom.

Savage ended up passing away of cardiac arrhythmia on the morning of May 20, 2011.
